For Sendle, activation was an ongoing issue. Their welcome and onboarding emails were a mix of styles and senders, with no defined order or flow. Messages were repeated, timing was chaotic, and new sign ups weren’t taking the next step. Activation was slow and engagement slower, causing delayed revenue and profit.
We teamed up with the Sendle team to define the messaging hierarchy for three customer segments. To do so, we dug into the data to identify best performing emails and messages before mapping out a new flow.
We also identified opportunities for testing – from subject lines to content formats and value propositions – to enable ongoing optimisation. Then we pulled it all together with our email writing services.
Within 30 days of launch, the project was paying off. New business signups were activating their accounts within 8 days (previously 97 days) – a 1200% improvement. The follow-on effect of engagement was felt soon after with more than 90% of business signups habitualised within 8 weeks (previously 26 weeks).
